ArrangeMe Member of the Month: John Ivor Holland

John Ivor Holland has been composing and arranging for several years and won a British Composer Award in 2008 for a community-led chamber orchestra piece. His go-to ensemble is concert band, but he has lots of experience with brass bands and orchestras, too. A large strand of his work is dedicated to expanding the visibility and accessibility of repertoire by women composers worldwide and to encourage further diversity. Holland mainly performs on percussion, but can also play most brass and woodwind interchangeably. As a conductor, he led Lambeth Wind Orchestra for almost 15 years and is called upon to lead local ensembles on an ad hoc basis.
