Published by Island Time Books and Music (A0.1509915).This inspirational Advent anthem, a setting of Luke 1:67-79, is scored for SAB choir (with occasional tenor and sop II divisi for vocal range) and piano. It is in two section: a calm, lilting "Blessed Be the Lord" which alternates between contrapuntal and homophonic parts punctuated by brief piano interludes, followed by "And You, Child," a melodic canon leading to a dramatic forte climax. The range and complexity are appropriate for mid-level church choirs, while the setting is interesting enough for advanced concert ensembles. (And by the way, while the piece is scored for choir and piano, the composer would be happy to provide an arrangement for your instrumental ensembles.)
