Published by Secrets of Organ Playing (A0.1263961).Pūt, vējiņi (blow, wind) is the most famous Latvian folk song sung today. It become popular after 1910 Latvian Song Festival and was included in the program in all subsequent festivals ever since where tenths of thousands of people participate. Ausra and I were so amazed by the 2023 Latvian Song and Dance Festival that I became inspired to create this organ duet meditation for 4 hands and 4 feet. The beautiful tune appears in the top voice and is heard 6 times, twice in F major, twice in Ab major and again twice in F major. Dedicated to Latvian organists who are members of Riga Organum Duo - To Ilona Birģele and Diāna Jaunzeme-Portnaja.
